So, you may have clicked on the link from the home page and read about my new project. I am off to the shops in the next couple of days to buy my film, which I have never used before by the way. I am also studying OS maps of the area for possible areas to explore. I will keep you posted.

Since I last wrote I've been out taking pictures on a couple of occasions. I have, however, had a complete diaster in the process. The panoramic back on my Bronica developed a fault and the film slipped. What a pain, after two shoots. One was a sunset over a row of trees, the other was the flooded water meadows in Sudbury, Suffolk. I have now found a way to bend the leader of the film over to ensure that it will never happen again!

My press work has been busy of late, however, I did manage to scout out a few possible location for a re-visit at the right time of day. My day started off at the Orwell Bridge at Ipswich for some foggy, frosty sunrise pictures for the paper, but I didn't have enough time to do it justice with my Bronica. My day then took me to Beccles on the Norfolk, Suffolk border and a meander back to Bury St Edmunds. I paid a visit to the Pakenham Mills (the village boasts both a watermill and a windmill) and have vowed to return.

Website construction and press work have been getting in the way of picture taking lately. I’m also in the process of selecting, printing and mounting images for this years craft fairs etc. I’ve been out and about around my new area (within a few miles) to see if there are any suitable locations on my doorstep. Cavenham Heath should be a fantastic spot when the heather comes to flower so I will be keeping a close eye on it in the forthcoming months.

Photography has taken a bit of a back seat lately as I've been re-doing the website, and having moved house there always seems to be something of higher priority, well according to my wife anyway! I have now turned my attentions back to picture taking with the first signs of spring starting to appear I am looking for suitable subjects as I drive round. I'm also in the process of cataloguing all my slides and negs and compiling a database on computer. This, however, means scanning every image in and then captioning it...a laborious task which even I seem to be able to find other things of a much higher priority!!!
